Andrew Gregg

Vice President, Employee Health and Benefits

Prudential Financial

As Vice President, Health and Benefits, responsible for health and welfare (e.g.: medical, dental, vision plans), well-being, retirement and other benefit programs offered to both our active employees as well as our retirees. Responsibilities include:

  • Strategy and design these benefit programs, which include our health plan offerings, well-being solutions, the cash balance pension plan, and PESP
  • Effective communications and meaningful engagement in these programs
  • Vendor selection and alignment to goals – in most cases benefits administration is outsourced which requires significant time and effort to ensure these partners provide optimal service and solutions to our employees, retirees and their families
  • Oversight of benefits offered outside the US
  • Compliance with all legal requirements of benefit programs under ERISA, DOL, IRS, etc.

Began career at Coopers & Lybrand, which was then a “big eight” accounting firm, and earned CPA. Career has taken me from accounting, to financial analysis in retirement and benefit programs, and to HR in benefit program design and management. In 2002, Joined Medco Health Solutions and worked as the Senior Director of Benefits in HR. Started at Prudential in October 2008.

Earned B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.

My wife Kim and I married over 30 years ago, and we have 3 children – Jonathan (28), Patrick (25) and Susannah (21).  We recently moved from CT and the Portland ME area.

Activities these days include family fun, boating, tennis and golf.

After college back in 80s and early 90s (pre-kids), played in a rock and roll band with other accounting mates from Coopers & Lybrand.  Needless to say, good idea that we didn’t quit our day jobs.
