Daniel Barchi is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of CommonSpirit Health, a $34 B health system which operates 140 hospitals in 22 states. He leads all technology operations and strategy, digital innovation, and cybersecurity. After earning a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy where he served as Brigade Commander, Daniel began his career at sea as a Naval officer. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for leadership and the Southeast Asia Service Medal for Iraq operations in the Red Sea. After his military service, Daniel earned a Master of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and led global project operations for MCI and WorldCom in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Daniel most recently served as CIO of New York-Presbyterian Health System, after serving in the same role at Yale-New Haven Health System, and Carilion Clinic.
