Bio

Mohan Nair is a 3x published author, a proven 6x innovator/startup creator within enterprises, 3x startup CXO with 2 exits, and 3x corporate executive. Mohan is the Chief Executive of Emerge Inc., a
transformation/innovation company.

A pioneer in enabling cause/purpose-focused companies, he is called by many leading
organizations to define and frame purpose-driven transformation/innovation.
For 10 years, Mohan served as Chief Innovation Officer, Senior VP of Cambia Health Solutions,
a $9.8 Billion US parent company of 25 businesses all focused on a common cause to
transform healthcare. He, with his team, created and launched 6 startups in 10 years creating
and leading a high-performance innovation team called Innovation Force. Healthsparq, his first
startup at Cambia, was sold to Kyruus in Jan 2021. For 7 years prior, Mohan was Chief Marketing
Executive and EVP for Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield leading all front-end functions for the
multi-billion dollar firm leading all products (individual to medicare), all consumer-directed digital
front end, telesales, and business development.

He has held President roles in 2 startups, one in cost/performance management and the other
in network management, with two exits from McAfee and SAS. Earlier in his career, he led
executive roles in public companies namely, Mentor Graphics Corporation and Intel.
He authored Strategic Business Transformation: the 7 deadly sins to avoid (Wiley & Sons,
2010). He has authored 2 other books and over 20 refereed-journal articles on performance
measurement/Balance Scorecard and servant leadership. He writes for Forbes,
RamaonHealthcare.com, and is contributing columnist for Innovation Leader.

Mohan was an adjunct professor of business at JL Kellogg School of Management for 12 years, 5
years in executive education at the University of Oregon Executive MBA program and is now
guest lecturing at UC Berkeley, teaching executive education at the University of Auckland, Lewis
and Clark College, and advisor to the President at George Fox University. Mohan is a TEDx
speaker where he outlines his unique business transformation philosophy.
His board roles included United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Evergreen Air/Space Museum
(current) , Technology Association of Oregon (current) and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield Life
Insurance company.

Mohan is awarded the prestigious Edmund Hillary Fellow in Aotearoa New Zealand, since 2020.
He is also an Operating partner/Innovator-in-residence with MOVAC capital, the largest venture
fund in New Zealand and an advisor to several startups in New Zealand. He was called by the
President of the USA to serve the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for 3 years
on the AHIC Chronic Care Workgroup
