Bio

Dr. Stuart Hart is the Chief Medical Officer for Integra LifeSciences. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a subspecialty Board Certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Prior to joining the medical device industry, he spent much of his career working as an academic physician at Emory University and the University of South Florida (USF) where he specialized in Urogynecology/Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). He also served as the Director of the Tampa Bay Research and Innovation Center, a university innovation center specializing in medical device development and testing, as well as the Chief Medical Officer for Innovation and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Minimally-Invasive Pelvic Surgery at the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS). 

Dr. Hart holds an MD from the University of Maryland and completed his training at Emory University and associated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, Master of Science in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies from the USF Muma College of Business, and a Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Affairs in Medical Devices from the USF College of Engineering. He also completed the Managing Innovation Executive Education Program through the Stanford University Byers Center for Biodesign. 

Prior to joining Integra, he served as the Vice President, Medical Affairs for Urology and Critical Care (UCC) at Becton Dickinson (BD) and Senior Medical Director for the Surgical Innovations business at Medtronic. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, filed 15 patents, speaker at numerous global conferences/medical education events and has won numerous awards for innovation and his research studies and teaching.
